This multicoloured commemorative plaque records: Polari. Nish the chat and pin back you aunt nells! Spoken in the theatre, navy and by the criminal underworld, incorporating Italianate words, rhyming slang, and Romany, 'Polari' became a secret vocabulary used by the LGBT+ community, until the 19702, to cackle over a bevvy and to avoid the rozzers!
