This blue commemorative plaque records: Alderman Jean Robinson JP CBE 1899-1987. Jean Robinson JP CBE was the first female Mayor of Blackpool from 1968-1969. She served as a Magistrate in the Juvenile Court and was President of the Blackpool Soroptimists. Jean ran the cafe at Abingdon Street Market for 27 years. Recorded plaque organisation: Blackpool Civic Trust.
