This blue commemorative plaque records: Dronsfield Engineering Works The site of Atlas works - established by James Dronsfield (1809-1880). The firm acquired international fame in the manufacture of card grinding machines for the cotton industry. This office building dates from 1908. Recorded plaque organisation: Oldham Council.
