This brown commemorative plaque records: The Swan Inn, Fittleworth - Ye Ancient Order of Froth Blowers - In 1924 Bert Temple founded Ye Ancient Order of Froth Blowers - a "cheerful law-abiding fraternity of absorptive Britons", who in five years, raised a six-figure sum for children's charities at their Vat meetings. Economic forces and pressure from the temperance movement hastened the fraternity's demise. This Inn was its 'No.0' Vat.
