This black commemorative plaque records: Barrow Town Hall Designed by W. H. Lynn of Belfast and built of Hawcoat sandstone. Opened on the 14 July 1887 by the Marquis of Hartington as part of Queen Victoria's jubilee celebrations. Recorded plaque organisation: Barrow Civic and Local History Society.
