This blue commemorative plaque records: Temple Mill. The magnificent but highly functional flax spinning mill to your left was erected by John Marshall, founder of the Leeds Flax Industry. Joseph Bonomi modelled it and this office building (added in 1843) on the Egyptian temple at Edfu. Erected 1838-40 Recorded plaque organisation: Leeds Civic Trust.
