This green commemorative plaque records: The Dissenters' Graveyard. An independent chapel ('The Temple') stood here from 1818 to 1871. After a long period of neglect the site was made into a leisure garden for the people of Ripon in the Festival Year of 1986. Recorded plaque organisation: Ripon Civic Society.
