This silver commemorative plaque records: Russell House A 17th Century tenement preserved by Sir Patrick Geddes (1854-1932). This building was rescued from demolition and restored again in 1976 by the perseverence and endeavours of a number of bodies and individuals, including Sir Robert Russell (1890-1972) after whom it was named. City of Edinburgh, Historic Buildings Council for Scotland, Holyrood Housing Association, Link Housing Association, The National Trust for Scotland, Royal Fine Art Commission for Scotland , Architects: Robert Hurd & Partners.
