This blue commemorative plaque records: North-Eastern Railway Viaduct This 1500 yard viaduct, including the New Station (now known as City Station) built over the river and canal, is one of the great feats of Victorian civil engineering. It linked railway termini on opposite sides of Leeds. Erected 1866-69 Recorded plaque organisation: Leeds Civic Trust.
