This green commemorative plaque records: Arnside Station. Opened for passengers on the Arnside-Lancaster Railway c 1857. Hincaster Branch opened 1976. Original, half-timbered syle, station replaced by present building on acquisition of the railway by the L.M.S. c 1922. Recorded plaque organisation: Arnside Parish Council.
