This blue commemorative plaque records: Castle Pool. The last remnants of the moat that enclosed the bailey of Hereford Castle (c1050) and St. Guthlac's Priory (7th century) on three sides with the River Wye to the south Recorded plaque organisation: Hereford City Council.
