This blue commemorative plaque records: The Assembly Rooms, built in 1794 as one of the first properties on the Beacon Fields, were the centre of social life through the era of the Napoleonic Wars when Exmouth grew to prominence as a watering place. Recorded plaque organisation: Exmouth Society.
