This blue commemorative plaque records: The West Bar. The bar stone marking the western boundary of the built-up area of the medieval town of Leeds stood here. Scarcely a single building lay in the old manorial park to the west of this point before 1758 Recorded plaque organisation: Leeds Civic Trust.
