This black commemorative plaque records: The Market Hall Built by the Town of Shrewsbury in 1595 - 1596. The ground floor was used as the corn market. The upper room was used by the Shrewsbury Drapers for the purchase of Woollen cloths brought on ponies from North Wales. This plaque commemorates the 60th anniversary in 1986 of The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury Recorded plaque organisation: Rotary Club of Shrewsbury.
