This black commemorative plaque records: Flour Mill Lane. The Burgh's Upper Mill, fed by the mill burn running from the Loch, stood nearby from the 13th century to 1865. The mill was an important source of revenue and was leased out to tenants who milled wheat, rye and malt. Recorded plaque organisation: Aberdeen City Council.
