This white commemorative plaque records: 39-45 Branthwaite Brow. Cast by a Kendal iron founder, John Winder, these iron-plate fronts were erected to save space as part of a street widening scheme ordered by the Board of Health in 1851. Recorded plaque organisation: Kendal Civic Society.
