This blue commemorative plaque records: This house built in 1765, was for many years the home of the St. Barbe family. Charles, and influential businessman was a Saltern owner, the First Banker, and five times Mayor of the Borough. Francis Walsingham St. Barbe was an early partner in the law firm of Moore and Blatch, founded 1797, who are the present owners of the property. Recorded plaque organisation: Rotary Club of Lymington.
