This clear commemorative plaque records: Emily Wilding Davison 11th October 1872 - 8th June 1913 It was from this place, on the 4th June 1913, that suffragette Emily Wilding Davison sustained injuries that resulted in her death at Epsom Cottage Hospital. Her lifelong dedication to women's suffrage, and the contribution that she made to the lives of British women, past and present, is remembered.
