What is recorded here

This green commemorative plaque records: Dracula and Carfax House. 1897 Bram Stoker's novel 'Dracula'. Dracula moves to Carfax House at Purfleet on a bye road to London. Probably based on Purfleet House built by Samuel Whitbread, now the site of St. Stephens Church. Recorded plaque organisation: Thurrock Local History Museum.

A plaque record does not grant entry to a building or private land. View it from a public place unless permission is clearly given.
