This blue commemorative plaque records: Rear Admiral Dennis Royle Farquharson Cambell RN Retired, CB, DSC, 1907 - 2000. He invented the angled deck for aircraft carriers thereby increasing the operational capabilities and enhancing the safety of carrier aviation.
