This blue commemorative plaque records: This building is the oldest known house in Lymington. A Georgian brick facade conceals a timber-framed house of jettied construction and believed to date from the 15th C. During the renovation items found included children's shoes some hundreds of years old. Recorded plaque organisation: Rotary Club of Lymington.
