This blue commemorative plaque records: Thirsk Infant School. This building was formerly the Thirsk Infant School founded by public subscription and erected in 1833 on a site donated by John Bell Lord of the Manor. It was opened as a Public Library by N.Y.C.C. in 1981. Recorded plaque organisation: Thirsk Town Council.
