This blue commemorative plaque records: Site of 1857 Iron "Scotch" Church. Rebuilt in stone 1872. Present "Central Chambers" built as three shops with club above, by architects Lawson & Donkin, 1888. Then Mansion Hotel, Empress Hotel and ground floor Cadena Cafe. 1920 became National Provincial Bank. National Westminster Bank 1971. Recorded plaque organisation: Borough of Bournemouth.
