This white commemorative plaque records: Known as the Mother Church of Belfast Methodism the Donegall Square Methodist Church opened on this site in 1806. Replaced in 1846, it remained a centre of Christian Worship and Witness until 4th December 1994. The Corinthian Pillars and Classical Facade of the original church, designed by Isaac Farrell, were integrated into the Ulster Bank Group Head Office in 1999.
