What is recorded here

This blue commemorative plaque records: New Low Light. The new Lighthouse and Keeper's house were erected in 1808-10 by the Master and Brethren of Trinity House, Newcastle, to replace the Old Low Light. It still serves as an important navigational aid to vessels entering the river. Recorded plaque organisation: Port of Tyne Authority.

A plaque record does not grant entry to a building or private land. View it from a public place unless permission is clearly given.
