This blue commemorative plaque records: This 16th century building, standing on an ancient burgage plot, is now only one third of its original size. In the 18th century, it formed part of a boarding school for privileged young ladies. It has been a shop since the 1830s. Recorded plaque organisation: Petersfield Heritage.
