This blue commemorative plaque records: Hill House The Rev. J.T. Becher lived here from around 1805 to his death in 1848. During that time he was a dominant influence in the town, especially in matters relating to The Workhouse, Southwell Minster and the House of Correction. The building was later used as a boarding house by Southwell Minster School.
