This blue commemorative plaque records: Near here stood Thompson's Mill built in 1803 by Benjamin Peile, great uncle of M.W. Thompson Lord Mayor of Bradford 1862-63 and 1871-73. Thompson presented the city with its mace and a 586 piece silver service and entered Parliament in 1876. Recorded plaque organisation: Bradford City Heritage.
