Thirty-eight centimetres of grey stone holds fifteen names recovered from a buried passage at Ballyknock North. Macalister and McManus disagreed about half the letters, yet the fine scores still touch the edge like a pulse. The stone left the ringfort and entered a university corridor, carrying a forgotten clan into modern light.

One of 15 ogham stones found in a Man-made underground passage (CO055-007003-) in a ringfort (CO055-007001-) at Ballyknock North, Co Cork (see CO055-007016-) and currently on permanent display in the Stone Corridor, University College Cork. The inscription is cut in fine scores on the dexter side of one of the narrow edges. It was read by Macalister (1945, 91, no. 94) as DOMMO MACI VEDUCERI (first word possibly DEGO) and by McManus (2004, 18-9, no. 15.) as D[ ]MM[ ]MACi [ ]eRI.
