What is recorded here
That is the width of the wall and the height of the ruin. The chamber is no larger than a bedroom, yet it contains a chamber, a cache and a chamber within a chamber. The wall leans south, the floor drops north, and the roof has vanished into the hill. What is left is a room with no door, a staircase with no top and a archive that refuses to be read.
On a plateau, in pasture within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-), and abutting the external S side of Caherwalsh cashel (CL009-059045-) close to the SE corner. A small oval enclosure (int. dims. 7.3m E-W; 4.2m N-S) defined by a grass-covered collapsed wall (Wth. 1.4-1.9m; H. 0.3-0.5m) except at N where it abuts the cashel. At S it overlies and partly obscures the N side of a cairn (CL009-059043-). It is later in date than both the cairn and the cashel, and is similar to several small stone-lined features in the cashel interior.
