What is recorded here

Visible as a rectangular feature on aerial photographs (GSIAP: M, 65-6), and situated on a broad NW-SE ridge. Rectangular grass-covered area (dims 33.5m NE-SW; 30.8m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.4m) at NE and SE and by an earthen bank (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.3m) and outer fosse (Wth of top 4.7-7.5m; Wth of base 2-2.5m; D 0.2m) at NW and SW. There is no identifiable original entrance. Traces of rectangular fields (RO027-046002-) (dims c. 40m x c. 40m) can be seen to the E and S. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
