Edlingham Castle is a 13th-century ruined fortified castle in Northumberland, England, built in 1174 by John De Edlingham and later owned by the Felton family. Sir William De Felton bought the manor in 1295, and his son continued renovations from 1340 to 1350, enlarging the structure until it fell into disrepair in the 17th century. Today the public can visit for free during daylight hours, walking a grassy path to explore the scenic solar tower and muddy grounds that once echoed with the footsteps of prominent knights and nobles.
