Giggleswick Scar is a prominent sandstone sea cliff in North Yorkshire, formed from Jurassic-age rocks around 160 million years old. The scar was shaped by differential erosion and mass wasting, and it is notable as a classic example of a glacial valley scarp, carved during the last Ice Age and later flooded by the sea.
