Queenzieburn

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Queenzieburn as Chapel (medieval)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Linked to Saint Quennell, Queenzieburn is associated with a medieval chapel and holy well tradition, where pilgrims historically sought cures for skin ailments and general healing. Local folklore suggests the site was once a place of Christian worship and pilgrimage, possibly pre-dating the Reformation.
