Bedlay Castle, Stable Block marks the missing stable wing of a lost house in North Lanarkshire. The main castle vanished long before modern maps, but these stones remained behind like a guard dog waiting for a master who never returned. They may have held horses for the castle kitchen or simply survived because demolition men forgot the side building. Either way, the stable outlived the castle that gave it a name.
