Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Arran, Largybeg as Chambered Cairn (neolithic) - (bronze Age)(possible), Stone Setting (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn and stone setting, possibly used into the Bronze Age. It represents a significant early funerary and ritual site on the Isle of Arran.
