Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Arran, North Sannox as Chambered Cairn (neolithic). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn; dates to the early Neolithic period, around 3500–3000 BCE. It is significant as part of the broader network of chambered tombs in western Scotland, reflecting early communal burial practices and social organization.
