Situated on a level landscape c. 400m from the seashore to the SE. A black soil-mark (diam. c. 10-15m) is visible on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP: S 10/11) from 1973. No feature was visible at ground level in pasture, but it is known locally to be an area of black soil. The burnt mound (WX052-021002-) is c. 50m to the NW.
