An inventory of the forfeited property of the Knights Templar at Templeton (Hore 1900-11, vol. 4, 276; Colfer 2004, 56) lists the contents of the chapel as distinct from the parish church (WX049-008001-). The chapel would have been at their stronghold and was more richly endowed than the parish church. It contained nine books, a chalice, silk vestments for the altar, a sliver dish, two silver cups, 17 silver spoons, and a pitcher for wine. Its location is not known but if the Templar’s base was at the earthwork (WX049-007----), then the chapel would not be far away.
