Situated in a gently undulating landscape. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) defined by a single wide fosse feature (Wth c. 3-4m) is visible on aerial photographs (ASIAP, WX 102, 15-18: MM (10) 1) and digital aerial photographs (WX048-113_1 to _6) taken in July 2006. It is within the field system (WX048-113----), but may be unconnected with it. The ring-ditch (WX048-113006-) is c. 20m to the E and its fosse encounters the fosse of enclosure (WX048-113004-) just to the W. It is also visible on the OSi series of aerial photographs (2000).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
