An inquisition at Wexford in 1619 found that at the time of his death in 1591 Richard Synnott of Ballybrennan (WX048-001001-) owned a water mill at Ballybrennan amongst other property (Jeffrey 1979, 1). The precise location of the mill is not known, but it could be anywhere in the parish.
