Situated on the floodplain of the E-W Bridgetown stream and just W of where a short N-S stream enters it from Baldwinstown. The cropmarks of numerous drains covering an area of c. 4.5ha can be seen on digital aerial photographs (WX047-152_1 to _6) taken in 2006. Some wider channels may represent a stream-bed but most smaller field drains lead into these and represent a field system of rectangular fields (dims c. 30-50m x c. 30-50m), perhaps dating to the 18th century.
