What is recorded here

Located on a rise in a low-lying landscape with a small meandering N-S stream c. 30m to the E. This is a circular area (diam. c. 35m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.1-0.4m; ext. H 0.8-1.4m) with an external fosse (Wth 2-2.5m; max. D 0.5m). There is an entrance (Wth 3m) at N, and the interior is overgrown with mixed woodland. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 17 October, 2013
