Marked on the 1839 and 1925 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and described as Lady’s Well in gothic lettering on both. It is situated in the valley of a small NNW-SSE stream at a point where the stream runs W-E c. 20m to the N and turns S where it is c. 20m to the E. It is just on the N side of an E-W field bank and drain. The well is a small rectangular feature (dims 0.6m x c. 0.6m; D 0.0.6m) with drystone walls (H 0.45m) on all sides except the S, and with a large lintel (dims 1.15m; x 0.55m; T c. 0.1m). It is open to the E where a small channel (Wth 0.95m) connects it with the field drain. It is surrounded by three whitethorn bushes, but there is no record of, or evidence of,veneration. The church in Blackhall (WX045-051----) is c. 60m to the NNE.
