Located on a NE-SW ridge and at the SW end of Carrick-on-Bannow village. Three granite penal-style crosses are built into the road bank at the S angle of a cross-roads. This cross (H 0.78m; Wth of arms 0.33m; T 0.18m), on the left as viewed, has an incised cross on its diamond-shaped head with an incised 'IHS' at the crux. The stem below the crux is cracked across. It is thought to have been moved from the graveyard of Carrick church site (WX045-036004-) c. 300m to the SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
