What is recorded here

Situated in woodland just 20m SW of the cloister gateway (WX045-027003-) of the Cistercian abbey. A single pointed arch (Wth 2.4m) of a bridge (Wth 5m) with wicker centring spans what was probably a drain leading from the abbey to the Tintern stream. The carriageway would have led to the gatehouse of the abbey. (Lynch 2010, 101) Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 23 July, 2013
