Walsh (1976-7, 34) suggests that an old road led from Dunbrody Abbey (WX039-030001-) past Kilhile castle (WX044-003----) and on to the fair green (WX044-032----) and church (WX044-018001-) at Ballyhack. Part of this (L c. 400m) survives as a disused farm lane, but there is no evidence that it is ancient.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
