Situated on a SE-facing slope within the N edge of the town of Taghmon. Archaeological testing (04E0630) uncovered a section of a steep-sided U-shaped E-W ditch or fosse (Wth 1.9-2.55m; D 1.35m) with a visible length of 12.5m but which extended outside the test area to the E and W. It contained four silted fills that were archaeologically sterile but are probably of medieval date, and it can be interpreted as a field ditch or a defensive ditch (Hardy 2007).
