What is recorded here

A layer of oyster shells (T c. 0.3m), some with traces of charcoal adhering to some of the shells, were noted in a trench c. 1m below the surface in the vicinity of Spawell Road, Wexford town in 1971, but the precise location is not known. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
