What is recorded here

Archaeological testing (02E1167) at the rear of Nos 56-60 on the W side of South Main St. recorded seven circular pits (dims 1.4m x 0.86m; D 0.57m to 2m x 1.9m; D 0.85m) in a concentrated area. As well as animal bone and industrial waste the pits contained a rich selection of medieval wares including South Leinster and Wexford wares as well as Ham Green, Redcliffe, Minty and Saintonge imports.
